Synopsis
BASED ON TRUE EVENTS.
Set four days after D-Day, our story follows the events of a British 2nd Special Air Service soldier that was dropped into German-occupied Normandy as part of Operation Titanic.
In the early hours of 6th June 1944, a small group of SAS soldiers along with hundreds of dummy paratroopers known as ‘Ruperts’ were dropped by the Royal Air Force to give the illusion of a large scale parachute landing and to cause diversion, confusion and havoc before the impending Allied invasion of France later that day.
Deep behind enemy lines the soldiers were left alone to fight and survive.
NO GLORY is a film about the real horrors of war, heartache, compassion, and an unlikely friendship during the Second World War.
Research
We spent several months carrying out extensive research before starting production, this included internet search, reading biographies and personal accounts, reading and viewing images from the SAS archives, speaking to veterans and frequent visits to the Imperial War Museum in London.
One of the most import aspects about the film to us is that it looks as historically accurate as possible, and where possible we have used original war-dated props, or exact reproductions Even the contents of our lead actors haver sack which are not all seen are 100% genuine and original as we feel this helps the actor within the role and further develop the character he is portraying.
